The degrees in Psychology and Nursing register the greatest increase in access requests with respect to the last course (10/07/2018)

According to the provisional data of applications for access to the degrees offered in the single district of the Region of Murcia for the 2018-2019 academic year, a total of 16400 requests have been registered, of which 14830 correspond to the general quota, with the rest belonging to to those already graduated and over 25, 40 and 45 years old.

Within the quota reserved for disabled people, an aspect in which the UMU has traditionally been the leader among Spanish universities, the applications received amount to 131. With respect to high-level and high-performance athletes, a total of 160 pre-registrations have been registered.

In relation to the data recorded last year in this same phase, and taking into account the degrees chosen as the first option, approximately half of the degrees increase their requests for access and the other half decrease in a moderate way.

The most significant increase in pre-enrollments is seen in the degrees of Psychology, Nursing and Physiotherapy:

The degree in Psychology has registered 827 applications, a 53.4% ​​increase over the previous year, for a total of 190 places.

The degree in Nursing, which offers 346 places distributed between the centers of Murcia, Lorca and Cartagena, has registered 1675 pre-registrations, which represent an increase of 45.9% compared to the 2017-2018 academic year.

The degree in Physiotherapy, with 82 available places, has received 582 requests for access compared to 443 last year, so that they have increased by 31.4%.

As in previous years, the degree with the highest number of pre-enrollments is Medicine, with a total of 2420 applications for 200 places, despite having dropped slightly compared to the previous year.

At this moment, the number of admitted in first list for the unique district of the Region of Murcia is of 8060 students.

Of these, 4400 have managed to access the grade they specified as their first option.

This Wednesday, July 11, the first lists of admitted will be published.
