The PSOE of Murcia reiterates its commitment to the arrival of the underground AVE (29/06/2018)

The general secretary of the PSOE city of Murcia, José Antonio Serrano, has affirmed that the socialists fulfill their commitments regarding the AVE.

"We made a commitment that I was going to arrive buried and that's how it is going to be, we are trying to accelerate the works".

He explained that, for the PSOE of Murcia, it is very important the arrival of the AVE, but also the Cercanías service, and added that it is not true that the PP had planned the arrival of the AVE for August, "as they are saying "

According to Serrano, it is impossible for the AVE to arrive in August.

"They could not bring it on the surface, they are deceiving the citizens of the Region and the municipality of Murcia once again".

He recalled that the commitment of the socialists to the burial is clear, as they have said the Government delegate, Diego Conesa, and the Secretary of State for Infrastructure, Pedro Saura.

"Right now we are in a new time, which is the time of transparency and honesty."

"We do not like to take our tummy with the important things for Murcia and the Region, not like others, who wanted to bring it at all costs, even if they were attacking people, only to take out their bellies before the elections," he concluded. .

For its part, the spokesperson of the Municipal Socialist Group in the City of Murcia, Susana Hernandez, recalled that yesterday the PSOE Murcia made clear, once again, its position in front of the burial and the arrival of the AVE.

"We said it loud and clear: AVE yes, but buried."

"Today we do not have the AVE in Murcia, nor the burial, because of the vagaries of the Popular Party with this issue and the continuous delays to which it has subjected us during the last years of Rajoy's government," he said.

Hernandez remarked that in June 2013 a report was published by Adif, which said that the AVE would not arrive in 2014, but in 2016, and that it would arrive on the surface because it would not have burial.

"I did not see any leader of the PP of the Region, or the municipality of Murcia, complain or recriminate to Rajoy that Murcia did not deserve that."

"We have always said it and we maintain it with our Government of Spain, headed by Pedro Sánchez. We want the AVE, but buried, and this is a priority and irrevocable for the Murcian socialists," he added.
