Development Cooperation helps 100 children from Bolivia to get out of poverty (24/06/2018)

The Department of Social Rights and Development Cooperation, led by Conchita Ruiz, through the Association Help the Children of Bolivia, carries out a shelter project for children in Santa Cruz de Sierra who are in a situation of poverty and social exclusion .

The activities they carry out are focused on awareness-raising activities, through talks, conferences and an annual seminar for the training of volunteers who want to work in this shelter in Bolivia.

In total, the project involves 300 people, 50 educators and volunteers who participate in the house over a year, more direct family members of each child attended.

The objective of the Asociación Ayuda a los Niños de Bolivia is focused on social awareness of the problems that social exclusion generates in the most disadvantaged population of Santa Cruz de la Sierra in Bolivia.

This work focuses on finding economic and human resources to help the projects of personal and social development of this population of children and youth.

The 100 children and young people have overnight accommodation, food, toilet and first medical attention.

Children are also initiated and trained in activities appropriate to their age, through recreational, cultural and sports occupational workshops.

In addition, it informs about the physical and psychological damages caused by habitual or frequent consumption of alcohol and any drug.

"It is important to train these children, generate personal motivation, know their particular situation and offer them basic needs of hygiene, nutrition and medical care." We believe that Asociación Ayuda a los Niños de Bolivia does a fundamental task to give them an opportunity for the future to these minors who live in a complicated situation "commented Conchita Ruiz.

The project for the construction of a training house for the maturation of young people in the street will be carried out for a total amount of 96,710 euros, of which 17,159 euros are subsidized by the City of Murcia.
