Cambiemos Murcia will propose in the Plenary to celebrate a day of open doors for dogs in the municipal swimming pools (23/06/2018)

Cambiemos Murcia propose to the Government team of the City Council in the plenary next Thursday that, once the bathing season is over, allow the bathing of dogs with their bathers in the municipal swimming pools, an initiative that in other municipalities is known as' Chapuzón Perruno '

The councilor who subscribes the initiative, Margarita Guerrero, explained that the 'Chapuzón Perruno' was carried out for the first time in El Casar (Guadalajara), by the Association Mascoteros Solidarios, which got access of domestic animals to the pool municipal the last day of the season.

This town was followed by Daganzo, San Martin de la Vega, Móstoles, Getafe, Morata de Tajuña, Rivas Vaciamadrid and Villalba, all belonging to the Community of Madrid, and Guadalajara and Villanueva de la Torre, among others.

The proposal of the municipal training raises that for the access to be obligatory the fulfillment of a series of requirements like to be in good physical conditions, to have the vaccines up to date and the chip in the name of the person that accompanies it or not to be in heat.

So far, no municipality in the Region of Murcia has launched a similar initiative, so that the capital "can be a pioneer" in this activity whose celebration may be accompanied by others such as food collection or assembly stand protective of animals and animal associations.

Exemplary Canine Citizen

In addition, Murcia Change will move to the House a motion for the municipal government to study the implementation of an agreement with the National Association of Professional Dog Trainers (ANACP) in order to promote the implementation of the program "Exemplary Canine Citizen" among people who They have dogs.

This program consists of teaching the dog owner to be "a responsible owner" and aims to certify that the dog "has the proper education and social behavior to be a reliable and educated member in the family environment and in the cities where they live" , as explained by ANACP in its regulations.

"This program educates our dogs and encourages their balance, it is about improving the coexistence between human beings and animals of human coexistence, respecting the rights of both", Guerrero added.
