"I understand that the socialist secretary has to make an important effort to get to know the reality, not only of the City of Murcia, but of its neighborhoods and districts, but that does not give rise to disparage the work we develop, together with the NGOs , in cooperation to development, "Councilor Conchita Ruiz explained after hearing the demonstrations of the newly elected representative of the Murcian Socialists.
A fact that should know is that the municipality of the region that spends more money for this purpose is precisely that of Murcia.
"I am aware that he has a lot to learn and very little time to do it, but that does not prevent him from measuring his words and being rigorous in his affirmations," added the mayor.
Ruiz insisted on the work done by the City of Murcia, through its Municipal Council for Development Cooperation, to "bring the help of Murcia to the neediest countries and to provide support when natural disasters occur."
The last example has occurred with the eruption of the volcano in Guatemala, which this morning has been the subject of a meeting of the Council.
"The socialist secretary can ask the councilors of his group to inform him," stressed Ruiz.
Finally, the popular councilor urges the secretary to propose to the socialist group to support the municipal budgets of 2018 because until then you can not have items for cooperation.
