600 Murcians will have access to a new project aimed at improving the employability of unemployed people (15/06/2018)

The Governing Board has given the green light to the first edition of the program 'We use: Itineraries for the improvement of employability', a project aimed at improving the employability of unemployed people by carrying out training activities through integrated itineraries for the improvement of their training and their personal and professional skills.

The number of people benefiting from the project is estimated at 600 users of the Department of Guidance and Employment and according to the estimate more than 61% of the beneficiaries are going to be women.

This program can be accessed by unemployed people registered as job seekers in public employment services belonging to vulnerable groups, considering as such long-term unemployed people, young people under 30 not served by the Youth Employment Operative Program , immigrants, women and ethnic minorities and marginalized communities as single-parent families, homeless people affected by housing exclusion;

victims of gender violence;

victims of discrimination based on racial or ethnic origin, sexual orientation and gender identity;

recipients of minimum income or social wages;

people with failure or dropping out of school.

The project will start after granting the grant, expectedly in March 2019, and has a maximum completion date of December 31, 2021.

The objectives are the following:

Improvement of the acquisition of skills of the population groups furthest away from the labor market and in situation or risk of exclusion and with greater difficulties in accessing the labor market, through the design of personalized itineraries and participation in Certificates of Professionalism.

Improvement of the social and labor situation of these people through actions to improve motivation and employment incentives, especially those with special structural deficiencies, aimed at improving health, habits, self-esteem ...

Integrate the gender perspective and the specific needs of women in the development of the actions.

Improve the cooperation and administrative participation between entities through the formalization and development of collaboration agreements and actions in partnership with entities of the Third Sector and key agents of the territory.

Development of joint diagnoses between the Employment Service and Social Services, with the objective of determining the degree of employability of the target persons, the referral between services for better care and joint monitoring and evaluation of labor insertions.

Develop support measures that facilitate the incorporation and maintenance of the target persons in the actions that make up the itineraries, such as the provision of aid for travel and reconciliation, services for the care of minors and dependents, and accompanying measures.

The individualized insertion itineraries are composed of the following actions:

Specific training in 11 Certificates of Professionalism

Non-work professional practices

Individualized tutorials

Transversal training:

- Module of equality of opportunities between men and women

- Module equal treatment and non-discrimination

- Module sustainable development and care of the environment

Further training:

- Personal skills training

- Support for insertion (Basic training)

- Job search

- New Information and Communication Technologies

The City Council will present this initiative to the call for aid from the European Social Fund, foreseen in the Operational Program of Employment, Training and Education, (POEFE), aimed at local entities for the insertion of the most vulnerable people in the labor market.

The total cost of the project is € 906,619.80, of which the Employment Service will finance 20% (€ 181,323.96).
