The City of Murcia informs about the steps to be taken by those affected by the closure of the iDental clinic (14/06/2018)

The City of Murcia, through the Department of Institutional Relations and Trade Maruja directs Pelegrin, informs about the steps to be taken so that those affected by the recent closure of the iDental clinic in the Murcia hamlet of Cobatillas can request information or resolve any doubt.

The councilor Maruja Pelegrín has met with the general director of Commerce, Consumption and Administrative Simplification, Francisco Abril to address this issue.

In addition, Pelegrín stressed that "we are available to those affected by the closure of iDental and we will inform them of the measures that will be taken and we will advise them on the steps they must follow".

The Ministry of Employment, Universities, Business and Environment, through the General Directorate of Commerce, Consumption and Administrative Simplification, has enabled telephone 968357190 and the email address inspeccionconsumo@carm.es.

In addition, a series of recommendations have been offered to these clients who may have stayed with their treatments interrupted or not started, after having provided a quantity of money directly or through a financial institution.

These recommendations include presenting a complaint in writing to the clinic, preferably through burofax, and requesting the clinical history of the dentistry, also via the bureaufax.

In the event that the injured party does not obtain an adequate response to this request, he may exercise his rights before the Spanish Agency for Data Protection (AEPD), for restricting his right of access to his own personal data.

Those affected may also file a complaint with the Community Consumer Protection Service in the case of violation of rights as a consumer, either face-to-face in any register or one-stop shop in the Community, or telematically through sede.carm.es.

In the event that malpractice has occurred, customers can submit a claim to the health authorities of the Autonomous Community.

If those affected have a linked loan, that is, which serves exclusively to finance a contract relating to the supply of specific goods or services such as a specific treatment, they may file a claim with the client's defense services of the corresponding financial institution .

If the entity does not offer a satisfactory response, they may submit a claim to the Department of Market Conduct and Claims of the Bank of Spain.

Likewise, it is essential to keep all documentation related to this clinic, including brochures or advertising material, budgets, possible contracts of linked credits, as well as receipts of payments or invoices.
