The Women's Section of the Social Welfare Service, within the Department of Social Rights and Development Cooperation directed by Conchita Ruiz, today carried out a training action for 60 women, in the Hall of the Local Development Agency.

The objectives have been to present the model of business creation and cooperativism, inform about the procedures, guide public and private resources of advice for the implementation of a business idea and promote the incorporation of equal opportunities and elimination of stereotypes

"The objective of the 'Women's Entrepreneurship and Cooperatives Day' is to offer women knowledge about the development of a business idea, which is part of the Second Plan for Equal Opportunities between Women and Men 2019, specifically the strategic area for the advancement of the municipality towards real equality, training and employment "commented Conchita Ruiz.

On this day, inaugurated by the Councilor for Social Rights and Development Cooperation, Conchita Ruiz, Pilar Ortíz, doctor in economics from the University of Murcia, participated with a conference entitled 'Entrepreneurship from a gender perspective'.

Then Sergio Henales spoke about 'Municipal services for women entrepreneurs' developed by the City of Murcia through the Department of Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs directed by Jesús Pacheco.

A round table was also organized, 'Formulas and resources for the development of a business idea', in which the Organization of Women Entrepreneurs and Professionals (OMEP) and the Union of Cooperatives of Murcia (UCOMUR), which have informed on the procedure for the creation of a company, and a cooperative enterprise, legal and economic requirements, as well as the resources and services offered by both organizations to women entrepreneurs.

The Councilor for Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs, Jesús Pacheco has been in charge of closing the day.

In addition, it has had a toy library service for children under 3 years, in order to facilitate assistance to women.
