The PP considers a 'frivolity' that Citizens criticize that legal solutions are applied so as not to suspend meals at home to thousands of dependent users (13/06/2018)

'Citizens again record their frivolity, irresponsibility and ignorance of public management' said the Councilor for Finance, Contracting and Urban Mobility, Eduardo Martínez-Oliva, responding to the spokesman of this municipal group.

'Even if Mario Gomez refuses to accept it, the City Council of Murcia carries out an exhaustive and strict control of spending, how could it be otherwise,' insists the head of Finance.

Precisely because the municipal services of the area have highly qualified technicians, it is possible to adopt solutions that, always under the legal canons, allow us to continue providing basic and essential services.

This is the case of home-delivered meals, which before suspending them and abandoning the thousands of users who are elderly and dependent, opted to find a solution that is "feasible, legal and realistic and not stop lending".

'Perhaps the Citizen Spokesperson would have found it more appropriate to interrupt the service.

In this case, the beneficiaries of the meals at home are lucky that municipal management is not in their hands, "says Martínez-Oliva.

On the other hand, the popular councilor recalls that the City is significantly reducing minor contracts, once the new law of contracts of public administrations comes into force.
