The Electoral Committee of Podemos Murcia has organized a debate between representatives of the two candidates who opt for the Municipal Council of Murcia.
The event was held at the Palacio del Almudí in Murcia where both candidates have discussed a Murcia model that focuses on social diversity, the voice and action of women and where to rescue public services for citizens in Murcia.
In the course of the debate, Rubén Garre, head of the list of the candidate Podemos Podemos and member of the Southern Coastal Circle, has proposed "a model of a party that is more open to citizen participation, that strongly supports the struggles of social movements, encourages neighborhood self-organization and empower the work of the circles in neighborhoods and districts. "
On the other hand, Candidatura Cuidando Podemos, headed by Ginés Ruiz, who is a member of the Autonomous Citizen Council and legal adviser to Podemos RM, has defined the axis of his proposal as "a candidacy composed of a team that, in addition to talent, has highlighted the illusion of working on a municipal project based on a care policy, a diverse Murcia that takes care of its people, in short, make Murcia a municipality where all citizens can live better, "versus" the dismantling of public services, the precariousness that affects its people and corruption, all factors that have prevented us from advancing as a society, and become the city we deserve. "
Rubén Garre has defined the candidacy he represents as "a plural list, built in a participatory and collaborative manner, configured by grassroots people, members of circles and activists in various social movements, such as those affected by the mortgage, reception of refugees, burial, feminism, pensioners etc. "
This, according to Rubén Garre, provides a political perspective on a future in the municipality "decidedly feminist, which seeks to combat inequality, build unity by accepting diversity and converge democratically with sister political forces and with citizens, defend rights and services public of all and of all, boost the culture and protect the heritage ".
Ginés Ruiz, defended in the debate that the municipality "urgently needs a rescue of public policies, to make Murcia, a place to live better" and therefore his candidacy is composed of "people who have institutional experience in the estates closer to citizenship, in positions related to Health, Education, public services, etc., with the hope to work and build a project for the social majority in Murcia ".
So Ginés Ruiz, said that "This project for Murcia can be achieved with a team oriented to become a tool that takes social priorities to their rightful place in municipal policies, ending with the time when these have been governed in favor of interests of a few. "
In the place of the debate, the Almudí Palace of Murcia, the ballot box for the in-person vote has been installed for the representatives of municipal circles, in the same way from this morning at 12:00 and until June 18 at said time, the voting process of the different candidates that opt ​​for the different CCM of Podemos will be open.
