José Ballesta opens the day 'You are Murcia, participates', organized by the Murcia Federation of Associations of Housewives, Consumers and Users ThaderConsumo and the City Council.
"The ultimate goal is to listen and give a voice to the Murcia and Murcia, and put ourselves at your service from the proximity and participation," said Councilman Jose Guillen.
More than 300 people including consumers, users, housewives and masters have attended today at the Teatro Romea a massive participatory day in which they have been able to learn about the different Apps and technological tools promoted by the City Council, to help improve the day by day of Murcia and achieve their active involvement in the improvement of the municipality.
They have attended people from different neighborhoods and districts of Murcia, with a majority presence of Alquerías, Cobatillas, El Raal, El Esparragal, La Cueva, Monteagudo and Lobosillo.
The mayor José Ballesta was in charge of inaugurating the day 'You are Murcia, participates', organized by the Murcia Federation of Associations of Housewives, Consumers and Users ThaderConsumo and the City Council;
In an act in which he was accompanied by the Councilor for Modernization and Urban Development, José Guillén, and the president of ThaderConsumo, Juana Pérez.
"As a local administration we need the cooperation of citizen associations that contribute to advance in the defense of the common good.
ThaderConsumo is one of the most important in the entire Region, by number of members (with more than 30,000 members and 40 federated delegations) and, for your long career, with more than half a century of life behind you, "said the mayor.
For his part, the first deputy mayor, José Guillén, who was responsible for closing the day, stressed that "the ultimate goal is to listen and give voice to Murcia and Murcia, and get us at your service from the proximity and participation" and added that "the technological system of social participation that has been implemented by the City of Murcia has a clear humanistic vocation that aims to make the day-to-day of people easier, responding to their needs and demands effectively and agile."
Apps that give voice to neighbors
The day 'You are Murcia, participates' has made known the technological applications launched by the City Council, so that the operation of applications aimed at promoting participation such as 'TuMurcia' and 'BlabUp', the Unique Municipal Agenda (web page eventosmurcia.es) and the Electronic Headquarters: a 'Open City Hall 24H'
The technical presentations have been carried out by the technical heads of the City Council José Martínez Márquez, María Luisa López and Peligros Nicolás.
All these initiatives are framed in the 'MiMurcia' smart city project, valued by the Ministry of Industry as the most ambitious in all of Spain, in competitive competition with 111 cities in the Red.es call.
'MiMurcia, your Smart, Close, Open and Innovative City Council' puts people at the center of political action through the application of the latest innovations and the most advanced technologies to improve the quality of life of Murcians.
"Our goal is to generate new opportunities for economic development, while improving the quality of life of Murcia and the public services they receive," said José Guillén.
