La Peña Huertana La Crilla, which has more than two hundred members, of which more than 90% are residents of Puente Tocinos, was founded in this district in 1979 on the initiative of Diego Serrano Matás' Jopete '', being its promoters he and Juan García Serrano.
Thus, they summoned young people and adults coming mainly from the old Youth Cultural Center of the district, components and former members of the Seven Coronas Group of Choirs and Dances and other local residents interested in socio-cultural activity, creating the association with the pretense of revitalize the Seven Crowns Group of Choirs and Dances created in the year 1968.
The group takes its name to remember the seven crowns that make up the Coat of Arms of the City of Murcia.
