The lighting improvement works in the Polígono Industrial Oeste are starting, reducing pollution and spending (07/06/2018)

The Councilor for Infrastructure, Public Works and Services, Rebeca Pérez, visited the Industrial Estate of San Ginés this morning, along with the president and secretary of the Association of Businessmen of the Parque Industrial Oeste, Antonio Castillo and Francisco Martínez, respectively, where they are already developing the works of reinforcement and improvement of lighting in the Industrial Estate West of San Ginés.

The budget of the work is of 154.604 euros and will be carried out by Ferrovial Servicios SA, which has until the end of August to make the installation.

The objective is to renew and improve the installation of public lighting in the Industrial West, since the reference installation is forty years old, so it has a very low light output and produces light pollution.

The proposal consists of the replacement of the existing luminaires by 390 luminaires with LED technology, replacing and arranging the columns that are in poor condition.

Likewise, the five existing command centers will be adapted and equipped with a tele management system.

The power to be achieved will be 38 kW, replacing the annual power of 105 kW, which results in an expense of 80,000 euros.

"It will reduce 63% of annual spending and the emission of CO2 into the atmosphere by 141 tons." Polígono Industrial Oeste is the most important industrial area of the municipality, with more than a thousand companies established in its three million square meters of extension, and with this project, in addition to saving and reducing pollution, we provide the area with greater security and greater visibility "said Rebeca Pérez.
