Rafael García Molina, Professor of Applied Physics at the University of Murcia, will take office this Wednesday, June 6, as a full professor at the Academy of Sciences of the Region of Murcia.
The event will take place in the Cajamurcia culture classroom at 7:30 p.m.
García Molina will give the conference 'Simplemente física', in which he will carry out a tour of the research and dissemination activities in which he has been involved for years.
Among other topics, it will deal with the basic physical processes that intervene in the hadrontherapy, which is how a promising technique that uses ion beams to treat certain types of cancer is known.
The speech of answer will be carried by the academic numerario and vice-president of the Academy of Sciences of the Region of Murcia, Ángel Ferrández Izquierdo.
