The Murcia Club Tennis welcomes this weekend the first round of a new edition of the Madrid Open sub16 circuit (05/06/2018)

The Murcia Club de Tenis 1919 raises this weekend the curtain of the sixth edition of the circuit Mutua Madrid Open sub16 that will return to tour the main Spanish cities.

The competition will gather from Friday to Sunday 32 tennis players from all over the country who will compete for one of the most prestigious base titles in the national calendar.

Associated with the tournament Master 1000 and Premier WTA, the champions will get a place to play the final phase in the Magic Box on the same dates as the professionals.

The Region of Murcia will be very present through nine players.

In the men's category, Fernando Pérez-Rodenas, Martín García-Ripoll (both with license from MCT 1919), Pablo Ávila and Diego Navarro will compete.

For its part, in the female category, the regional representation will be led by the MCT 1919 players Noelia Lorca, Ariana Geerlings and Alexandra Evdokimova, as well as Paula Garrote and Maria Paredes.

Together with them, the names of Alejandro Correa, Gerard Planelles, Lucía Linares and Claudia de las Heras stand out in the painting.

Each category, male and female, has 16 players who will play in qualifying rounds from the round of 16.

The matches of the first round will start on Friday at 9.30.

The same Friday, from 15.30, will play the quarterfinals.

On Saturday morning, from 10.00 am, the semifinals will be played, leaving for Sunday the dispute of the two finals (11.00 am).
