Social Rights will train 60 women of the municipality in cooperativism and entrepreneurship (05/06/2018)

The Women's Section of the Social Welfare Service, within the Department of Social Rights and Development Cooperation led by Conchita Ruiz, will carry out a training action for 60 women, on June 14, in the Salón de la Agencia de Local development.

The objectives are to present the model of business creation and cooperativism, inform about procedures, guide public and private resources of advice for the implementation of a business idea and promote the incorporation of equal opportunities and elimination of stereotypes .

"Three editions of the program 'I want to be a successful entrepreneur' have already been held for women who already have a business career and this year, the project 'Jornada fomento del ventreiro en el cooperativismo de Mujeres' is launched, whose purpose is to to offer women knowledge about the development of a business idea "commented Conchita Ruiz.

This training action, which is part of the II Plan for Equal Opportunities between Women and Men 2018-2019, is included in the strategic area for the advancement of the municipality towards real equality, training and employment.

On this day, Pilar Ortíz, a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Murcia, will participate in a conference entitled 'Entrepreneurship from the perspective of gender'.

Then talk about 'Municipal services for women entrepreneurs' developed by the City of Murcia through the Department of Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs directed by Jesús Pacheco.

To conclude, there will be a round table 'Formulas and resources for the development of a business idea', which will involve the Organization of Women Entrepreneurs and Professionals (OMEP) and the Union of Cooperatives of Murcia (UCOMUR), which will report on the procedure for the creation of a company, and a company-cooperative, legal and economic requirements, as well as the resources and services offered by both organizations to women entrepreneurs.

In addition, there will be a playroom service for children under 3 years of age who are in the care of women attending the day in order to facilitate their assistance.
