Martínez-Oliva: "Although it is not our competence, we are involved in the solution of the conflict of Line 61" (04/06/2018)

The Councilor for Finance, Recruitment and Urban Mobility, Eduardo Martínez-Oliva, explained that he was "surprised by the attitude of the neighborhood platform for the recovery of line 61. Last week I had a meeting with their representatives where I told them that the Group People were going to approve the motion that was presented to the previous Plenary composed of three points: to urge the Community to restore the line, to expand the number of vehicles needed to cover this service and that the City Council provide financial resources so that, together with the endowment of the CARM, the restitution of the line was possible ".

"The Government Team assumes these three points for which it was stated that it will contribute 200,000 euros to restore this line, telling the neighbors that this amount would be included in the 2018 budgets since a public administration is governed, at all times, by the approved budgets, being in agreement the neighbors in this approach ", has pointed the councilman.

Martínez-Oliva said he was "surprised because now they say that they want to use the neighbors as currency because it is impossible for the money that the City has to contribute does not come out of municipal budgets."

"This is the motion that was approved, and not another, and has been approved unanimously by all political groups of the City," said the mayor.

Martínez-Oliva reminded Cambiemos Murcia that "Latbus has an administrative concession of transport with the Autonomous Community, not with this municipality that the only thing we do is pay the social bonds that benefit the residents of this municipality."

The councilor has ensured that, although the competition is not municipal, "we are involved in the solution of the conflict since it affects residents of Murcia, and we are the first interested in this situation is fixed."

Martínez-Oliva stressed that "we have an important challenge ahead that is the unification of all the lines in a single administration that has to be carried out with the consensus not only of the political groups but also with the social groups of this city. so I invite us to focus on this issue that is of sufficient importance and importance for the future of the municipality.
