Three subsidies will allow to enhance the cultural activities and festivities of the municipality (01/06/2018)

The different cultural and festive groups of the municipality of Murcia will count one more year with the collaboration of the City Council for the organization and celebration of activities, in which thousands of people participate.

To this end, the Governing Board has approved granting aid to the Association International Tuna Competition 'Barrio del Carmen', the Cultural Association Fontes and the Carnival Association 'Supercommission' Cabezo de Torres, for an overall amount of 42,910 euros.

The objective of these grants offered by the Department of Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs is to encourage the activity carried out by the different groups and associations of the municipality of Murcia to promote and promote popular culture.

The objective of this measure is to maintain the line of work set in motion by the City Council, which aims to combine innovation with the maintenance of traditions in the various celebrations held in the municipality.
