The PSOE manages the Plenary to support two motions aimed at young people and to dignify the work of those working (31/05/2018)

The Municipal Socialist Group is also moving forward to call for opposition to the Local Police nine years after the last offer of employment for this Body, so that the rights of domestic employees are recognized, to fight against violence in sports and so that the third phase of the South Coast is executed

The Municipal Corporation has given the green light to call for opposition to Local Police as quickly as possible, which meets "an essential need," as pointed out by the PSOE spokesman, Susana Hernandez, who has made the proposal that has finally led to an alternative that voted for PP and Citizens and before which the rest of the parties with representation in the Plenary -PSOE, Now Murcia, Murcia Change and the non-attached councilor Francisco Javier Trigueros- have abstained.

"The staff of the Local Police, with just 500 agents, which are half of the 1,000 promised by the previous mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, suffers a significant decline since the last job offer was convened in the Corps, in 2009, and new oppositions are already being urged, "said Hernández, who argues the decision to abstain that" as the alternative has been proposed, it could mean more delay in the call for vacancies. "

The Plenary, with the abstention of the PP, has approved a motion raised by Juan Vicente Larrosa to advocate through awareness campaigns on the need to combat violence in sport, "both physical and verbal attacks on the playing fields and in the stands, "said the socialist councilor, who recalled that" the most important thing is not to win at any price. "

The PSOE has also managed to unanimously approve their motion for the implementation of a Youth Emancipation Plan with which to counteract the unemployment situation, job insecurity and lack of purchasing power.

Maite Espinosa, socialist councilor who has defended her, has asked that this plan that makes it possible for the children to leave their parents' house be activated "as soon as possible because our young people get older".

The socialist proposal defended by Begoña García Retegui to favor domestic employees in the contribution of their tasks has also been approved with the abstention of Citizens.

"It is time that these workers have the rights that correspond to them and we are not giving them anything," said the mayor.

The third phase of the South Coast should be expedited after the City Council unanimously approved the motion put on the table by the PSOE, specifically by Espinosa, to urge the Administration to provide "all economic means necessary "to make effective the execution of" a work promised by the PP and highly demanded ".

In addition, in the plenary today the PSOE has participated in the presentation of six joint motions, which have obtained the approval of the Corporation.

Together with Ciudadanos, Ahora Murcia, Cambiemos Murcia yTrigueros, Larrosa has defended a motion to recover bus line 61 and "decent public transport" in Aljucer, San Ginés and the rest of the districts and neighborhoods of the south of the municipality and which has been approved unanimously.

Also unanimously has given the go-ahead to the proposal made by Enrique Ayuso with Cambiemos Murcia to classify and demarcate the livestock routes that exist in the municipality so that "can be transited."

The proposal made by Ayuso, also with Cambiemos Murcia, to improve transparency and efficiency in the management of Emuasa, a public-private company responsible for the supply of drinking water in the municipality, has led to an alternative that has been approved with the favorable votes of PP and Citizens, the rejection of Now Murcia and Cambiemos and the abstention of the own PSOE and Trigueros.

"We value very positively that seven of the eight points raised have been accepted," said the socialist mayor.

Precisely Ayuso and Trigueros have defended alimón a motion to simplify the bureaucratic procedures to the citizen by change of address "to make life easier for the people" and that, after being modified, has been accepted unanimously.

Sebastián Peñaranda has added a motion of his own to the one put forward by the PP to "defend the professionalism of the workers of the City Council and to contribute to improving the quality of the services offered to the municipalities" and that has been approved with the abstention of Let's change Murcia.

Another motion, presented in principle by the PSOE to recover the service of chiropody and physiotherapy in senior centers, has been unified with two others raised in similar terms by Citizens and Now Murcia and has received the unanimous support of the Plenary.

The socialist mayor Maite Espinosa has assessed "very positively" the agreement reached.
