A book by Professor Losada analyzes the management of crisis communication in social networks (30/05/2018)

José Carlos Losada Díaz, professor of the Faculty of Communication and Documentation of the UMU, presents this Thursday, May 31, his book '(No) Crisis.

Crisis communication in a connected world. '

The event will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the cultural space of El Corte Inglés (Gran Vía, 42, Murcia).

In his book, Losada presents a crisis communication management model in a mobile and interconnected world, where audiences are increasingly eager to share.

Based on these premises, an intervention model based on five pillars is built: speaking, listening, acting quickly, honesty and closeness.

These five dimensions represent a realistic protocol with which to address a large part of crisis situations, discarding the superfluous and attending to the essentials;

a process that has a lot of foresight and high doses of common sense.

These conclusions are drawn from the analysis of over fifty real cases that have occurred in all types of organizations and companies around the world.

Among others, the author focuses on the study of three important recent crises such as the terrorist attacks last August in Barcelona, the flooding of the Segura river basin and the spread of the Ebola virus in Spain.

José Carlos Losada is a graduate professor at about twenty universities around the world, author of several books and fifty articles and a consultant in communication and image.
