The PSOE values to finally unlock the 14 million promised in the 2017 Budget and allocated to works of districts (28/05/2018)

The socialist spokesperson that "in front of our responsibility, the groups of C's, Ahora and Cambiemos have abstained in the vote of the 14 million euros"

The Municipal Socialist Group appreciates that today finally have unblocked the 14 million euros, required by the PSOE during the negotiation of the past 2017 Budget. "Our districts need the works included in that investment, some defendants for years, which may already see the light in the coming months, "explains the socialist spokeswoman, Susana Hernandez, who has participated in the Committee of the Plenary of Infrastructure, Finance and General Affairs, along with Begoña García Retegui, Enrique Ayuso and Juan Vicente Larrosa.

"For us it is a great triumph to achieve the allocation of these 14 million but it is above all a great satisfaction because we know that the works will have a direct impact on the quality of life of the residents of districts, so marginalized for so many years," Hernández declares. , who also points out that "we know that this investment does not solve all the problems of the towns of the municipality, but it is a first and decisive step, and now we must insist on continuing this path that we have started".

Also, the spokeswoman recalls that with the Budgets "we have tried to be responsible, always with the sights set on the Murcians, despite the risk that involved us and that has cost us a lot of criticism from the other opposition groups (Cs, Now Murcia and Murcia change) that, by the way, today have abstained in the vote of these 14 million, which will be approved definitively in the next Plenary.

Among the works that will be executed are the rehabilitation of the old Aljucer clinic as a municipal center, the expansion of the municipal centers of Nonduermas, Santo Ángel and Rincón de Beniscornia, new centers in Bacons Bridge, Santiago el Mayor and Llano de Brujas, housing for the sports courts of schools in San Pío, La Arboleja, Avileses and Beniaján, conditioning facilities for seniors in Espinardo, Cabezo de Torres and La Ñora, new sports tracks in Algezares or new office in Javalí Nuevo.

In addition, study rooms have been projected in El Raal, in San José de la Vega and Zeneta, grass in the Guadeloupe soccer field, a garden for La Raya and the transfer of the El Palmar library to the old Escuelas Nuevas school.

Also, paving and construction of sidewalks are planned.

On the other hand, in the same Committee on Infrastructure, Finance and General Affairs, has also been given the nod to the payment of overtime, which the socialist spokesman seems a "nonsense, because they are going to pay firefighters and local police with so much time of delay, especially those corresponding to firefighters, who made their hours in November and December of 2017. "

Likewise, Hernandez criticizes that today he has noticed the objections presented by the companies, some with a delay of six years since the expense occurred, and that in some cases have ended in court, for example, the case of Transportation of Murcia.
