Change we propose to expand the number of days for the celebration of civil weddings at City Hall (25/05/2018)

Murcia change has submitted a motion to the House next Thursday by requesting to expand the number of working days for the celebration of civil weddings at City Hall, as currently couples who wish to marry in this way can only do so on alternate Fridays and Saturdays, which has generated a waiting list that exceeds four months.

The councilor Sergio Ramos will defend this proposal in which the municipalist formation also demands the City Council to offer the possibility that the ceremonies can be celebrated, in addition to the Plenary Hall as usual, in other smaller rooms of the Town Hall for those couples with few guests.

In that case, Ramos has considered that the established rate of 200 euros should be reduced.

In addition, the motion proposes to bring to the General Negotiating Table the need to establish a productivity bonus for civil servants who participate, performing their work, at civil weddings.

Change Murcia has recalled that the number of civil weddings has increased in the municipality and that the City Council, as one of the institutions closest to citizenship, has to put in place measures like these.
