The kitchens of the Tourism Qualification Center hosted yesterday the final of the category of Gastronomy of the CreaMurcia Contest in which eight chefs demonstrated all their creativity and experience.

Iban José Velasco won the first prize with his dish 'Olla fresca de chato murciano 2.0'.

In addition to the two second prizes, winners of 350 euros each, which correspond to 'Canelón de chato murciano' by Ana Mª Sánchez Alarcón and '100% murciano, chato' by Alejandro Medina Ibáñez, there is also a mention of Rosmery Barcaya Hurayo who presented 'Mondongo de Chato Murciano with rice tile'.

The jury, chaired by the Councilor for Infrastructure, Public Works and Services, Rebeca Pérez, accompanied by four specialized technicians (Marta Ceballos, from the Center for Tourism Qualification, Sergio Gallego, food critic for La Verdad newspaper, Pedro Medina, kitchen manager for "La Olla" and the chef of the Barahonda restaurant, Cristian Palacios) and the Program Manager of Cultural and Educational Dynamization, valued not only the elaboration and complexity of the dish's development, but also the presentation to the jury, the flavor, the creativity or harmony among the chosen ingredients.
