Young people between 16 and 29 years old will be able to access eight professional certificates (25/05/2018)

The Governing Board has approved the Professional Qualification Program for young people in the next academic year 2018-2019, composed of different professional itineraries in which young people are trained in certificates of professionalism (levels 1 and 2), including training in linguistic skills, mathematics , of languages ​​and technologies of information and communication that improve their employability opportunities.

The duration of the program will be approximately 10 months and its recipients are young people aged 16 to 29 years registered in the file of the National Youth Guarantee System.

The specialties that are offered for the next course are the following:

o Auxiliary activities of Commerce and Warehouse (Level 1)

o Auxiliary operations for the assembly of electrotechnical and telecommunications installations in buildings (Level 1)

o Domestic plumbing and heating-air conditioning operations (Level 1)

o Aesthetic auxiliary services (Level 1 and 2)

o Auxiliary hairdressing services (Level 1 and 2)

o Mechanical manufacturing auxiliary operations (Level 1)

o Auxiliary vehicle body maintenance operations (Level 1)

o Auxiliary activities in nurseries, gardens and gardening centers (Level 1)

o Auxiliary Operations in the organization of activities and operation of sports facilities (Level 1)

o Recording and Processing of Data and Documents (Level 1)

Of these, the eight that have more demand and have better job placement for young people and those considered as a high priority by the SEF for Youth Guarantee will be taught.

The overall calculation of the total cost of the project is 510,766.9 euros

The Department of Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs seeks with this initiative the following objectives:

Train young people to enter the labor market through specific training in Level 1 and 2 Professional Certificates

Develop competences in languages ​​and technologies of information and communication.

To improve the level in relation to the linguistic and mathematical competences so that they can pass the free tests called by the SEF, which will allow them access to certificates of professionalism of level 2 and / or 3 of any family, as well as the preparation for the presentation to the test of obtaining the Graduate in ESO and proof of access to regulated Vocational Training.

Develop personal skills acquiring social skills, educating in healthy habits, values, promoting equality between men and women, improving self-esteem and promoting responsible use of information and communication technologies.

This type of programs has been carried out by the City of Murcia since 1992.

20 contracts

The courses of this edition 2017/2018 were initiated by 120 young people of those who finish 100 and 82 practice.

Four contracts have been formalized and 16 are pending formalization, which means a 24.39% job placement.

Regarding the educational insertion, 20 students have been included in other certificates of professionalism of higher levels and 17 have applied for a place in which they are pending to start.

With which 37% continue with their training itineraries.

The previous edition was financed in part by the European Social Fund, within the framework of the Youth Employment Operative Program (POEJ) of the Directorate General for Relations with Autonomous Communities and Local Authorities, which called for European Social Fund context of the National System of Youth Guarantee and following the regulatory bases of the European Social Fund, order HAP / 1337/2016, of July 27 (BOE 03-08-2016).
