Cs will ask in the Plenary the recovery of chiropody and physiotherapy in the elderly centers of Murcia (25/05/2018)

The mayor Paqui Pérez will defend this initiative so that the elderly recover these health services, necessary to improve their quality of life, in the best conditions

The Councilor for Citizens Paqui Perez will defend a motion in the Plenary next Thursday (May 31) for the elders of the municipality to recover the podiatry and physiotherapy service.

Paqui Perez will also demand that the PP "adopt measures, both administrative and adaptation of the premises, so that both health services can be provided in compliance with the necessary conditions required."

Already in the Plenary session of January 2016 - recalled the mayor of Cs - when the podiatric service was stopped because the centers for older people did not meet the required conditions, we unanimously approved a motion for the local government to adopt the measures adequate to improve the facilities of the centers and that the elderly could recover a much needed service.

"Something similar," he explained, "is now happening with physiotherapy, a service that, according to the data of the memory of the Department of Social Rights of 2016, has been provided in 39 social centers where it has served 1,473 people" .

"We understand that these health services must be provided under the right conditions, but we should also be able to facilitate their access to our elderly who, every day, demand more this type of care," said Pérez.

In this sense and finally, the mayor of the orange training hopes that at the next plenary "we can reach an agreement and move forward in making decisions that allow us to recover these services for users of social centers for the elderly".
