Salitre users will enjoy a fully sanitized lake during the next few months thanks to the Parks and Gardens improvement project that will make the city's most central lagoon stay in much better condition for much longer and with much less maintenance effort.
It has been transferred to the different fauna, ducks and other species, to the pond of the Silk Garden.
The works are directed and supervised by the municipal technicians
The Service of Parks and Gardens, through the company concessionaires STV Management, is performing tasks of revision, maintenance, repair and cleaning of the central lake located in the garden of La Pólvora.
These works will last approximately ten days.
To do this, they retire, to the different fauna that is there, to be placed again as soon as the lake is full again with clean and treated water.
To carry out these tasks it has been necessary to transfer the existing fauna in the powder garden, ducks and other species, to the pond of the Silk Garden, which will be returned to the lake once they are finished.
The works will consist in the revision of the correct functioning of the filtering and water systems and in the depth cleaning of the bottom, revision and repair of possible leaks, etc.

In recent weeks these tasks have been carried out in different lakes of the municipality such as Atalayas, San Ginés or Ronda Sur.
