Workers cleaning public schools in the municipality have concentrated this morning in front of the City of Murcia to denounce that the specifications of the new contract, far from solving the problems that gave the previous one, signed with Ferrovial, "continues to include a workload impossible to assume by the current template ".
Ferrovial has been sanctioned by the Consistory on two occasions since the contract was signed in August 2016, a short time after signing it and another recently, because it does not cover the working hours required by each educational center, which affects the quality of the service offered.
With the specifications of the new contract, which will be made from next July 31, the date on which the contract with Ferrovial expires, "the problems remain the same since it is not expected to increase the workforce or the number of hours , but the number of spaces that will be cleaned ", assured Conchi, one of the concentrated workers.
"You can not demand double the same staff," says Elena, another of the employees, who has lamented that both the staff and children of public schools in the municipality "who pay the duck" of the problems of the contract by the local Administration.
The new list of conditions received a score of allegations in which it was reported that unions, workers and municipal groups had not been taken into account to elaborate it, the non-inclusion of social clauses and other aspects included in the specifications that are "impossible to meet "by the template, given the number of hours included in their contracts.
