The Festival Murcia Tres Culturas offers 12 free outdoor concerts this week (23/05/2018)

The nineteenth edition of the Festival Murcia Tres Culturas, organized by the Department of Economic Promotion, Culture and European programs, this week offers twelve free concerts on the street.

Tonight, at 20:00, in the Patio de San Esteban, will perform Capella de Ministrers that will offer 'Encerrada Music: the oral legacy of the Sephardic diaspora' in which the historical rigor, the musical sensibility and its uncontainable desire to communicate and involve the public in these experiences.

Tomorrow, Thursday, May 24, two performances will take place.

In the Patio de San Esteban, at 8:00 pm, Emilio Villalba & Sara Marina will offer their Andalusian music and poetry, interpreting from zajeles, moaxajas, dances and clouds from the medieval Andalusian tradition and later, from authors who drank from the fountains, the know and the heritage of Al-Andalus.

At the Cloister de la Merced, at 9.30 pm, the public will be able to enjoy the Sephardic melodies of the Israeli Noam Vazana Trio.

The program of the festival gathers for Friday, May 25, two other performances.

In Europe Square, at 8.30 pm, Ramzi Aburedwan & Dal'Ouna (Belgium - Palestine) will star in a concert of classical music and Arab folklore from the Middle East.

The repertoire extends from Egypt to Andalusia, going through several regions and the traditions of the Middle East, adding baroque accents and jazz to a music that is confluence of East and West.

The Belluga square will be the stage, at 22 hours, of the performance of Savina Yannatou & Primavera in Salónico.

With a background that combines classical studies and authentic traditional music with improvised music and jazz, Savina Yannatou and the musicians of Primavera en Salonico find themselves as string dancers in the chord that connects the modal music of the Orient with the equivalent music of Western Europe, the music of the Middle Ages and the popular polyphonies of the Mediterranean.

On Saturday, May 26, the XIX edition of the Murcia Tres Culturas Festival will be closed with the Fiesta de las Tres Culturas.

From the Plaza de San Bartolomé, at 12 o'clock, and the Apostles Street from 13 o'clock, the parade of Trocamba Matanusca, a Baltic fusion group from Ontinyent, will take place, presenting its show in an itinerant way, with an instrumental group of 12 musicians.

Fetén Fetén will offer in the Plaza de la Cruz (12 hours), San Bartolomé square (13 hours) and Santo Domingo square (19 hours) the family concert 'The magical planet of unusual instruments'.

The main objective of this fun concert is for families to embark on a journey through the different rhythms and melodies of Spanish popular music, transmitting values ​​about reuse, poverty, imagination and the importance of knowing the traditions

The Plaza de Europa, at 20.30, will host the concert of Zejel 'Memoria de Oriente.

Christian, Arab and Sephardic traditions based on the memory of the East and Sephardic and integrated by pieces of the Christian, Arab and Sephardic traditions, presenting a concert that creates a special magic based on melodies and an interpretation that always make a mark on the public .

The highlight of this edition of the festival will be Estrella Morente, at Plaza Belluga, at 10 pm, with her recital 'El flamenco abre el corazón'.
