The director of the hospital, Br. Michael Koroma and six of the people affected by the landslides, are grateful for the help received by the City of Murcia, which corresponds to a total amount of 15,000 euros, including basic necessities.

"We thank for this show of gratitude and solidarity towards those who suffer, while we deliver rice, palm oil, tomato or soup, all based on what we ask for, on our needs. Thank you once again to our donor from Spain, the City of Murcia, for his wonderful donation to the people of Sierra Leone, "highlighted Br. Michael Koroma in the video.

"It is a joint work of the Jesus Abandoned Foundation, Juan City of Murcia Region and the Murcia City Council. The objective of this emergency action was to help the survivors of the avalanches through the direct supply of basic necessities and attention "Conchita Ruiz has highlighted.

The City of Murcia works for development cooperation in collaboration with non-governmental development organizations, implemented in the municipality, through a call for grants that last year allocated 375,000 euros in development projects of the most impoverished countries, humanitarian action in emergency situations and in long-term crises.

"This commitment also involves sensitizing the citizens of Murcia to the needs of impoverished countries," added the councilor.
