The new Respiro Familiar contract is being processed by the more agile and simplified procedure allowed by the Public Sector Contracts Law, with the aim of awarding the service as quickly as possible.
The aim is to solve the problem that arose as a result of the entry into force of the new Public Sector Contracts Law, which obliged to adapt and modify the specifications that had already been drawn up in order to adapt it to these regulations.
To solve the situation, Social Services is processing a new bridge contract, with a duration of 6 months, and by the fastest possible procedure.
This contract is already in process.
At the same time, the Councilor for Social Rights and Development Cooperation, Conchita Ruiz, explained that they are studying how to articulate a solution to cases of greater vulnerability.
Respiro Familiar is a support service for the caregiver that cares for the dependent person, which is provided during a few hours, on weekends.
