Professor Manuel Delgado offers a conference framed in the `Seminars of the Rector' (17/05/2018)

The University of Murcia will host this Friday, May 18, the conference Mass, public, crowd.

New and old forms of collective subject, today, taught by Manuel Delgado Ruiz, accredited professor and professor of Religious Anthropology at the University of Barcelona.

The presentation, which will be attended by José Luján, rector of the UMU, will take place at 4:00 p.m. in the Antonio Soler classroom of the La Merced Campus, and is part of the cycle of lectures `Social Subjects, Human Fractures', scheduled activity within the `Seminars of the Rector '.

In his speech, Delgado will analyze how certain forms of collective action have been unrest for two centuries.

Bachelor of Art History with postgraduate studies in Social Psychology and doctorate in Anthropology from the University of Barcelona, ​​Manuel Delgado is currently coordinator of renowned research groups.

Visiting professor in foreign universities around the world, he has worked especially on the construction of collective identities in urban contexts, religious violence and social appropriations of public spaces, topics around which he has published articles in national and foreign journals.
