The UMU will teach on the Internet Day to program robots and interact with artificial intelligence (16/05/2018)

The University of Murcia will be very present in the activities organized for the celebration of Internet Day throughout the weekend in the city of Murcia.

The university will have an exhibitor in the Plaza Circular and throughout Saturday and Sunday will carry out activities to bring new technologies to visitors, especially the youngest.

Those who approach the space of Zone 2 can learn how to program a robot and how to get it to evolve.

There will also be workshops for the youngest of the house to learn in a fun way software programming and visitors can immerse themselves in the world of virtual reality thanks to 3D glasses.

Another one of the outstanding activities of Zone 2 will be the presentation in society of a 'chatbot'.

It is a prototype of artificial intelligence that is finishing developing the University of Murcia with the aim of interacting with future students, students or anyone who wants to obtain information from the institution.

At the University stand you can talk to him and see how he solves the doubts of the users without any person intervening.

Zone 2 and all activities coordinated by the City of Murcia will be open to the public on Saturday from 11.00 to 14.00 and from 5 to 10.00.

On Sunday, the schedule will be from 11.00 to 14.00.

During the day of Saturday will be held open talks to all.

On the part of the University of Murcia two lectures will be given.

The first one will be at 7:00 p.m.

and will be the responsibility of the professor of psychology José María Martínez Selva who will talk about 'Internet and social networks: need and advantages in the face of misuse, dependence and addiction'.

One hour later, at 8:00 pm, the shift will be for Professor María José Martín Ibáñez, who will talk about the 'Pioneers in Information Technology', a recognition to the women who stood out in this area of ​​knowledge.

The talks will take place in Zone 5, where the open classroom will be located.
