Within the activities programmed in the II Days of the history of Cieza, the Cieza City Council and the UMU have organized the photo exhibition `El Menjú: cultural heritage of Cieza` by Lorena Martínez.
The opening of the exhibition, curated by Mª Dolores Piñera Ayala, will take place on Tuesday, May 15, at 8:00 pm at the Museum of Siyâsa de Cieza.
With this project Lorena Martínez seeks the union, through photomontage, of a selection of sixteen photographs taken during a fieldwork carried out on the Menjú estate with historical photographic archives of its architectural elements and of people who lived and visited the site. place, generating new and unusual views of the farm.
The aim of the artist is to generate a reflection on the destruction of the place and the memory accumulated in its landscape, through the game with different temporalities and the imaginative remembrance of the ways of living and experiences lived in the place.
The sample can be visited until May 20.
