The cost of exchanges ranges between 150 and 225 euros including travel, accommodation and all scheduled activities.
The Councilor for Infrastructure, Public Works and Services, Rebeca Pérez, presented this morning the new offer of exchanges that the Youth service offers for this summer.
A plan for young people in the municipality that reaches 114 places, increasing by 65 percent with respect to the activities presented in 2017.
The offer that has been presented today is the largest in the history of these exchanges and increases to 14 the number of possible destinations: Germany, Italy, Romania, Belgium, Finland, Estonia, Luxembourg, Portugal, France and Greece.
"One more year we offer our young people the possibility of benefiting from, in addition to providing the knowledge of the EU countries, encouraging the practice of other languages, the exchange of ideas on topics of common interest or ways of life and customs of each one of the places to which it is traveled ", has explained the councilor.
The cost of all of them ranges between 150 and 225 euros and the duration varies between 7 and nine days depending on the destination.
This supposes a new municipal bet to subsidize part of the cost of the stays and the activities.
Also in this edition is favored more to those who have not participated in past calls.
We must remember that the Municipal Plan of International Exchanges and Activities, which this year 2018 reaches its twenty-second edition, in addition to giving a European dimension to the activities that the City of Murcia proposes to the citizens of the municipality, aims to cover the following objectives:
• Promote knowledge of the countries of the European Union through the relationship between people from different backgrounds.
• Encourage the practice of other languages.
• Enable the exchange of ideas on topics of common interest with citizens of other countries.
• Encourage knowledge of Spain in general and Murcia in particular: ways of life, customs, etc.
• Enable the practice of Spanish and disseminate their knowledge.
The exchanges that are offered this year are in Romania ("Do not listen to the hate speech", from June 17 to 27), in Finland ("Forming leaders", from July 1 to 6), in Greece ("Youth Jump! ", From July 1 to 8), in Italy (" Safe is cool ", from July 7 to 16), in Belgium (" Europe in harmony ", from July 8 to 14), in France (" In favor of the inclusion of migrants and refugees ", from July 13 to 22), in Luxembourg (" Outdoor + 2018 "from July 13 to 22), in Germany (" The impact of a healthy life on young Europeans ", from July 16 to 23), in Estonia ("Healthy Mind in Healthy Body I", from July 17 to 28), in Luxembourg (34th International Music Week, from July 20 to 30), in Germany (" Eurovisionen ", from July 22 to 28), Portugal (" Change of place, change of life ", from July 23 to 30), Estonia (" Healthy mind in healthy body II ", from July 27 to 7), Germany ("Creativity in time l

The deadline to register for exchanges abroad ends on May 22 at 2:30 pm if it is done in the Youth Service offices, at 12:00 a.m., if you use the website www.informajoven.org.
In this case the Selection Committee chaired by the Councilor for Youth will assess the merits of each applicant for the activity requested according to the scales established in each of the exchanges.
Membership in associations, knowledge of languages ​​or participation in the Language Club of the City Council, the Municipal Competition of Artistic Creation or the activities, courses and seminars carried out, especially by the town hall in its different programs, will be taken into account.
