The UCAM-Judo Club Ciudad de Murcia, Cup Subchampions]

A few weeks ago, the girls of the UCAM-Judo Club Ciudad de Murcia were third in the 1st Division of the National League and on Saturday May 12, taking advantage of the day of awards ceremony of the different Divisions, the "Copa de la Liga ", with the participation of the first 8 teams in the classification.

The Murcian team faced in the first round against the Canary Islands of «Akari las Nieves», which was won by a resounding 5-0.

The important stumbling block would come in the semifinals, with the match against Madrid from "Sotillo" (runners-up in the regular season).

The confrontation was settled with Murcia victory by a 4-1 and it meant the classification for the FINAL.

The Final would be against the Asturians of the «JC Avilés», which had been reinforced for this day of Cup. After a very close match, the UCAM-Judo Club Ciudad de Murcia fell by 3-1, although it maintained its victory options until the last fight.

The Murcian team that has competed so brilliantly during the League and the Cup, has been formed by Izaskun Ballesteros, Olga Jiménez, María Cabas, Cristina Pérez and Evadne Huecas.
