Murcia change has today denounced the situation in which is the Young Space of El Palmar since, despite being open only six years, accumulates "numerous deficiencies" in both the furniture and the structure of the building, and announced that it will present an amendment to the municipal budgets so that the damages are corrected.

After visiting the center, Margarita Guerrero and Ana Serrano, councilor and vocal of the formation, respectively, have denounced that among the problems of infrastructure are the numerous leaks and humidity that affect much of the walls.

They have also been able to see first-hand the zero soundproofing of the center, one of the main common complaints of users since noise prevents the proper functioning of the workshops since the classrooms are interconnected.

In addition, "the furniture of the bathrooms is unfinished, with up to 8 toilets that do not have their corresponding covers, to which are added the numerous damages found on the roofs of the bathrooms, very deteriorated."

Serrano recalled that the Department of Youth is aware of the state of the building, but so far has not responded to any of the demands for improvement raised from their group in the municipal board.

For his part, Guerrero has described as "regrettable" that "a youth center with only six years of life present this degree of deficiencies", and has insisted on the urgent need for the City Council to meet the needs of this center to ensure an efficient use of space and prevent its deterioration from going further.
