The UCAM Symphony offers a concert at the National Auditorium in favor of FEDER (10/05/2018)

The UCAM Symphony Orchestra premiered its full version in this tour of concerts in Spain, which ended last night, the British Requiem Karl Jenkins, along with the Coral Discantus of Murcia and the Choir of the Polytechnic University of Madrid, making it sound impressive in a concert held in the National Auditorium of Madrid, organized by the Catholic University of Murcia to benefit the Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases (FEDER).

In the first part soprano Cristina Toledo shone, who told the public that she suffers from an infrequent autoimmune disease, showed her gratitude to the UCAM and claimed the need to investigate in this area.

The president of the University, José Luis Mendoza, and that of FEDER, Juan Carrión, spoke at the beginning of the concert with the Secretary of State for Social Policy, Mario Garcés, who wanted to personally support the initiative, as well as the Secretary General of Science and Innovation, Juan María Vázquez.

The concert, which was recorded in its entirety, will be televised soon.

The Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases (FEDER) supports the patients of these diseases, as well as their families, while raising funds for research.

Therefore, the UCAM, committed to the needs of the weakest, organized this concert, with which to visualize the difficulties encountered by these patients and the need for institutional and private support, while promoting research chairs such as Dr. Juan Carlos Izpisúa, who is achieving extraordinary advances in regenerative medicine.
