The Councilor for Infrastructure, Public Works and Services and responsible for the area of ​​Youth, Rebeca Pérez, presented this morning the new offer of camps and language stays for this summer offered by the City of Murcia.

A plan for young people in the municipality that reaches 375 places.

"One more year since Youth we wanted to maintain the effort so that this summer there are 375 possible places for our young people and that they can enjoy leisure, get to know new places and other people as well as learn other languages ​​abroad. in the cost, so they will be made at the best possible price thanks to the fact that from this council we assume part of the cost of each of the trips so that it involves the lowest possible expenditure for Murcia families ", said Rebeca Pérez during the presentation.

Camps

They are intended for young people born between 2003 and 2006 and the registration period runs from May 14 to 22 through the web www.informajoven.org.

On this occasion five different camps are offered, with 50 places each and different destinations.

Thus, this summer, you can choose between 'Camp of multi-adventure, Embalse del Cenajo, Moratalla, where you can perform sports in nature and exclusive activities such as Panic, Futzorb, Blob Jump or Team.

It is celebrated from 1 to 14 July.

In second place, the nautical camp with English 'Blue Adventure, english and sailing' in Los Alcázares offers the possibility of combining the activities that are developed with the practice of English, favoring the creativity and dynamisation of the group with aquatic workshops.

This case is offered on two dates, from July 1 to July 14 and from July 15 to 28 of the same month.

Salamanca, in the municipality of Armenteros, is the third option for young people, who will make excursions around the environment, adapting sports to the natural conditions of the area and using English in certain activities.

It will start on July 2 and end on the 15th of the same month.

Finally, the young people of the municipality will also have the opportunity to visit the Multi-Adventure Camp of the Sevillian Sierra Norte, in the town of Aznalcóllar from July 16 to 29.

The price for these camps is 350 euros per participant including transportation, once discounted the economic contribution made by the City of Murcia.

In case the number of applicants exceeds the places summoned in each of the established camps, a public lottery will be held in order to establish the order of priority for each camp and the waiting lists for the coverage of the vacancies that may occur.

These are full-board camps that include all excursions and activities and, for the first time, specialized attention is provided to minor assistants with different disabilities.

Language stays

But the camps are the only offer that Youth makes available to young people.

Rebeca Pérez has also announced the places for this summer of language stays in Ireland, whose application date is also from May 14 to 22.

In total, 125 places for activities to be held in the city of Dublin, with a total of 20 classes per week, including material and textbooks, excursions and other leisure and free time activities.

The accommodation will be made in families residing in the city, on a full board basis and include travel, as well as the certificate of having completed the language stay, issued by the educational centers.

In addition, a personalized report is made to check the evolution of their level of English during the study time.

The cost of these trips, of 21 days is 1,200 euros, since, again the Department of Youth assumes part of the price of this activity.

It is intended for young people born between 1993 and 2003, both inclusive and registrations can be made from May 14 to 22 on the website www.informajoven.org.

If the number of preferential applicants exceeds the places summoned in each of the established shifts, a public drawing will take place in order to establish the order for each shift and the waiting lists in case vacancies occur.
