The UCAM celebrates `Europe Day 'with 20 active European projects (08/05/2018)

The UCAM defends the culture and international principles with the aim that these mobilities promote, above all, the essential values ​​of the European Union, such as promoting the peace and well-being of their peoples, as well as preparing students for market access. work through an unforgettable experience.

In the last year, the International Projects Office (OPRI) has managed the mobility of more than 40 students of the UCAM throughout Europe, through the call E + KA1.

Students of different degrees have traveled to Serbia, Romania, Turkey, Italy or the Czech Republic, among others, to participate in programs on entrepreneurship, youth and sport, social innovation and social enterprise, religious diversity, European identity, solidarity body of European volunteers and musical education.

In addition, more than 70 researchers from different areas of knowledge are currently representing the Catholic University with 20 active projects in different European calls: Erasmus + Sport, Creative Europe, Erasmus +, H2020, LIFE, EEA GRANTS or Marie Curie.

The OPRI of the UCAM, which already has five years of activity, has seen its numbers increase every year. Recently, in the last year, it has added more than 8 million euros to its management in new projects, coming from European funds to the development of research projects within prestigious calls such as LIFE, H2020 or SUDOE, among others.

The UCAM stands out in Europe for leading innovative projects such as `LIFE CLEAN UP' (€ 1,492,512), for the treatment of wastewater with cyclodextrins and has recently been recognized by European institutions for its work in management and research of sports projects such as dual career and leadership (training + sport + employability), leading the projects `ESTPORT' (426 € 125.00) and` ESLP '(€ 426.125.00), in the Erasmus + Sport modality.

In this sense, the International Projects Office works daily to strengthen collaboration with new partners from around the world in the field of research, where it already has partnerships in 36 countries.
