Navarro: "Archaeologists are already working on the Molino de la Pólvora to protect this archaeological site of the 18th century" (07/05/2018)

The councilor for Urban Planning, Environment, Water and Vegetable Garden, Antonio Navarro, has informed that the archaeological remains found in the vicinity of the Molvo de la Pólvora in the main irrigation channel of Aljufía, between Rincón de Beniscornia and Guadalupe, are being studied and is currently working on them. "

Navarro has indicated that "these archaeological remains are part of the survey that we are carrying out for the recovery, not only of the Molino de la Pólvora, but of this entire environment." "It was already in 2016 when we anticipated the possible appearance of archaeological sites around this eighteenth-century mill, so we commissioned a technical study with which we requested in the Planning Service a proposal to delimit the Powder Mill. this we request the protection and cataloging of the whole in degree two, to protect also the surroundings of the same one. A cataloging that is in the process of processing ", points the councilor of Urbanism, Environment, Water and Vegetable Garden.

"It is undeniable the value of this space of our garden, it is our duty to defend and protect our heritage, so we are carrying out the necessary work to ensure and keep alive the history of our municipality," Navarro concludes.
