The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, and the Councilor for Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs, Jesús Pacheco, today delivered the diplomas of the Professional Qualification Program for Young People, offered free of charge by the City of Murcia, a course that has allowed 96 of the students who have done it (80% of the total) to have acquired a full or partial certificate of professionalism and which has been the first incursion into the labor market for most of them.
A total of 82 of these young Murcians between 16 and 20 years who had left their studies have done training after having approved the modules.
Of these, 20 have received hiring proposals, formalizing different contracts.
In addition, many other students have decided to continue studying and next year will take Certificate of Professionalism at higher levels.
This Qualification Program is an opportunity that opens up new expectations for young people who did not find the necessary motivation due to a complicated personal or social situation, offering them a formative itinerary that allows them a first approach to the labor market, with a title and initial basic experience .

This edition of the Professional First Qualification Program has served a total of 135 students who began their activities in September 2017 and end this June.
The tutorial and motivating work of the teachers has been key to achieve success and achieve a change in habits and expectations.
Nine specialties
The students have been trained in the following eight specialties: Auxiliary Operations for Mounting Electrotechnical and Telecommunications Installations in Buildings, Auxiliary Services for Aesthetics, Auxiliary Services for Hairdressing, Plumbing Operations and Heating-Domestic Air Conditioning, Auxiliary Activities for Commerce, Basic Operations of Floors in Accommodation, Auxiliary Operations of Mechanical Manufacture, Auxiliary Operations of Vehicle Body Maintenance, and Recording and Processing of Data and Documentation.
