The City Council allocates more than 300,000 euros for the creation of stable employment in companies, cooperatives and self-employed (04/05/2018)

These grants can be accessed by SMEs and micro-businesses that carry out their activity as an individual, community of goods, social economy companies, commercial companies, non-profit organizations and insertion companies.

Last year, these grants were granted to 62 companies for the hiring of 50 unemployed people and the conversion to permanent contracts of 23 temporary contracts.

The Governing Board has given its approval to the approval of the call and the bases for granting subsidies for the creation and promotion of employment in the municipality of Murcia.

In this way it seeks to facilitate and support the hiring of unemployed people and promote job stability by hiring for a minimum of twelve months, new staff with permanent contracts or the transformation of temporary contracts into permanent contracts.

This duplicates the minimum of the hiring period, since in the last call it was six months.

The recipients of this call for grants are SMEs and micro-SMEs, which develop their activity as individuals, community property, social economy companies, commercial companies, non-profit organizations and insertion companies, whose tax domicile or center of work is in the municipality of Murcia, with a maximum total amount of aid of 304,929 euros.

The period of eligible contracts will be between October 18, 2017 and August 31, 2018. Last year these grants were granted to 62 companies for the hiring of 50 unemployed people and the conversion to permanent contracts of 23 temporary contracts.

People with disabilities, battered women and long-term unemployed

The people hired in this new call must, prior to contracting or transformation from temporary to indefinite, be registered in the municipality of Murcia, and also meet any of these requirements prior to the start of the employment relationship or transformation :

- Under 30 years enrolled in the National Youth Guarantee System.

- Over 45 years old.

- Long-term unemployed persons (more than 12 months uninterruptedly registered as unemployed, in the last 18 months).

- Women / men from single-parent families with family responsibilities.

- People with disabilities equal to or greater than 33%.

- Students trained in the Employment Service of the City of Murcia, in the last two years, in Certificates of Professionalism of any level.

- Women victims of gender violence.

- People with difficulty in entering the labor market

- Persons temporarily hired whose contract is transformed into an indefinite one.

Entities that are up-to-date in complying with the obligations with the City of Murcia, with the AEAT and with Social Security and that are not subject to any of the cases established in the General Grant Law may be beneficiaries.

Applications may be submitted from the day following the publication of the notice of the call in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia until August 31.
