The Governing Board of the City of Murcia has approved, at the request of the Youth Service of the Department of Infrastructure, Public Works and Services directed by Rebeca Pérez, the call for grants for the promotion of youth participation in the municipality of Murcia for the year 2018 and first half of 2019.
The total amount of the aid amounts to € 68,000, which represents an increase of € 8,000 more than the previous year, with the maximum amount of subsidy per application submitted of € 3,000.
"These grants are intended to promote youth, cultural and social activities of general interest that encourage the participation of young people and their integration into society, encourage the functioning of associations and groups of young people, as well as support cultural, social, educational initiatives , free time and volunteering that encourage civic and civic participation of young people, "explained the councilor.
For all this, grants will be granted in the form of programs of activities, that is, the projects presented that encompass activities to be carried out by the entity during the period between July 1, 2018 and June 30, 2019, either in all of its programming or in a specific section of its program of activities, provided they are intended for the population of the municipality aged between 8 and 35 years.
The beneficiaries of the grants will be non-profit associations and entities specifically juvenile, as well as other entities and / or non-specifically youth associations that, lacking a lucrative interest, develop programs and activities aimed at promoting the participation of young people and with a manifest youthful protagonism in its elaboration and development.
The deadline for submitting applications is 20 calendar days from the day following the publication of the call summary in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia.
