The eight flautists of ElPozo Ciudad de Murcia (04/05/2018)

El Pozo Ciudad de Murcia was proclaimed last Saturday Second Division League Champion after beating Puertollano 5-3 at the Palace, with comeback included, and that Valdepeñas failed to pass the tie in their game.

It is the second league title for the team in three years, after the one achieved in 2015/16, and has thus become the only subsidiary to win it twice in this format.

The commander and main architect of this feat is none other than Josan González, born in Puente Genil (Córdoba) and coach of ElPozo Ciudad de Murcia for five seasons, in which he has won two Second Division League titles (2015/16 and 2017/18), being the first coach to get it in the current format.

In addition, on the occasion of the sanction to Duda last season, he had to lead the first team for seven games, which gave him time to proclaim himself champion in the seventh edition of the Copa Presidente and runner-up in the Spanish Cup after a very long penalty shoot-out.

Calmer after the ecstasy lived in the Palace last Saturday, he analyzed the differences between the title achieved in 2015/16 and that of 2017/18: "They are two very different Leagues because in the first we were leaders all the days less a".

With humility, he recognizes that it was a League (the first) that had "fewer teams, there was only one descent ... there was a level but a lot less than in the current one".

Regarding the most recent, the one obtained last Saturday, defines it as an "exercise of faith".

"It has been a very difficult league, we have always tried to go for the championship but we have also lost games in a very painful way because we did not settle for the draw" the Cordovan coach acknowledged.

The obstacles to overcome have been many, as Josan himself confesses: "We have reached eight points of the first with five days left to play, it seemed impossible but the kids have been believing."

About the milestone achieved in the last day of the league, he thinks it is "something that is hardly going to repeat, because we lost 0-3.But in the absence of 29 seconds we smiled the goddess fortune and found the league that we were looking for so much ", recalls with a smile from ear to ear.

To achieve two league titles in three years, in addition to effort and dedication, we need to surround ourselves with the best.

And the truth is that Josan has not been able to have better companions.

Pedro Gálvez is in charge of material and chained six seasons in the club, where he started in Benjamines as a delegate until he reached the branch in the hands of Josan.

With him he has won two titles, both of Second Division League.

Daniel Puche is the physical trainer and has been in the club seven seasons, since 2011/12.

In the last three seasons he has been coach of goalkeepers, although in the latter he has also been a physical trainer and in 2015/16 he was also a delegate.

You could say that he has a "universal" occupation in the coaching staff.

As for the players, a total of five repeat titles.

Manolo Piqueras started the season as captain of the subsidiary, but his good work as a closing has earned him promotion to the first team after participating in more than ten games with ElPozo Murcia.

Darío Gil Campoy is a native of La Ribera (Molina de Segura) and has been in the club since prebenjamines, having passed through all categories to play nine games in the first team as wing-closing.

It is, along with Alberto García and Fernando Cobarro, one of the three players that in the 2015/16 season, in addition to obtaining the League title, was proclaimed champion of Spain with the youth after winning FC Barcelona in the final.

Alberto García, a Sevillian of pure strain, arrived when he was young from the Triana FS and since then he has not stopped winning: to the two League titles we have to add that of the Spanish Champion in the youth category.

Fernando Cobarro is the multipurpose of the subsidiary, he can play in all positions and do well.

It is ciezano, like Álex Yepes, and sum already eight calls with the first team.

In addition, he was also part of the team that defeated FC Barcelona in the final of the youth championship in Spain.

José Miguel Oliver is the goalkeeper and current captain of ElPozo City of Murcia and the third goalkeeper of the first team.

It is natural Mazarrón and won the Copa del Rey with ElPozo Murcia the same year (2016) that was proclaimed champion of the league with the subsidiary.

Although they are the five who have achieved the feat of repeating title, they complete the champion team: Guillamón, Paniagua, Antonio Cámara, Álex García, Gilbert, Josema and Yera.

In addition, Gambín, Jorge, Sanabria, Ricardo, Nacho and Javi helped, apart from the invaluable collaboration of all the youths and their corresponding coaching staff.

If the slogan for the achievement of this League was "And if the flute sounds?", These players made it sound very strong last Saturday at the Palace and hope it continues playing in the National League for a long time.
