The Councilor for Social Rights and Development Cooperation of the City of Murcia, Conchita Ruiz, presented this morning the VI GastroTEA Solidarity Day, organized by ASTEAMUR, Association for people with autism spectrum disorder of the Region of Murcia, and to be held on next Monday, May 7.
That is why the councilor has encouraged Murcia to "collaborate with this solidarity initiative, demonstrating once again the commitment to build a more just future, helping the most vulnerable to have a better future."
In this edition, and after the passage of previous years of stars of the kitchen as Andoni Luis Aduriz, Eneko Atxa, Paco Pérez and Joan Roca, it is the turn of Ángel León, chef of the Aponiente restaurants, three Michelin stars and Alevante, one Michelin star, reaffirming GastroTEA as the most important solidary gastronomic event in the Region of Murcia.
The benefits of the Day will go entirely to the financing of the construction of a headquarters where we will provide our services in Murcia, and that will also be the only Autism and Autism Care Center in the municipality of Murcia.
In this edition, GastroTEA, is presented with three related events:
Show cooking "1001 flavors Region of Murcia", with the participation of Ángel León, who will be accompanied by other prestigious chefs.
Cooking workshop with ASTEAMUR children, taught by Ángel León.
Gala dinner to benefit ASTEAMUR, with a menu designed and prepared for the occasion by Ángel León and his team at Aponiente restaurant.
The show cooking "1001 flavors Region of Murcia", aimed at catering professionals but also the general public, will take place at the Teatro Circo de Murcia, on May 7, at 9:30 am.
Accompanying Ángel León, the participating chefs will be chefs of recognized national and international prestige, such as Pablo González (Cabaña Buenavista - 2 Michelin stars), Kosei Takakura, Cristian Palacio (Barahonda), Julio Velandrino (Taúlla), and Ginés José Nicolás (Rincón Of pepe).
Another of the events linked to the Day is the realization of a cooking workshop with children of ASTEAMUR.
This activity, aimed exclusively at children of the Association who suffer from the disorder, will take place at the School of Hospitality and Tourism of Murcia "La Flota".
Finally, the charity dinner will begin at 8:30 p.m. in the Casa de la Luz Restaurant (Zarandona) with a menu, designed and cooked specifically for GastroTEA, by Ángel León and his Aponiente team.
The dinner will be preceded by some appetizers prepared by chefs from the Association of Cooks AMURECO.
