The City of Murcia has open the deadline to register for the XI Cycle of Young Soloists, whose objective is to bring young music students from the region to direct contact with the public as an impetus for the start of their professional career.
Those interested have to send a 10-minute video showing their artistic level, in which they perform the interpretation of a work or selection of a significant movement, which can be presented through digital support or video on YouTube, through a private link or public.
The digital media may also be delivered to the offices of the Cultural Centers and Auditoriums Program, located at C / Álamos nº 5, 1st floor, 30002 Murcia, or by sending the links to the following email addresses: centrosculturales1 @ ayto- murcia.es, centrosculturales5@ayto-murcia.es or centrosculturales6@ayto-murcia.es.
They will also have to provide a short curriculum in PDF format and a letter of recommendation or proposal from professors, institutions or other public entities related to music education.
The aspirants will have to be students in musical formation, of last course of Professional Education, Higher Degree or Master, being natural of the Region of Murcia or linked to it by studies or residence and having between 17 and 25 years.
The deadline for submission of documentation will end next May 15.
The interpreters that are selected from this call would make a concert, with sound recording, in one of the dependent public spaces of the Department of Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs, between October 18 and November 29, 2018. They will take 8 concerts, on the dates proposed, so that participants in the Cycle must have availability to set working dates in the aforementioned time space.
In the period between 2008 and 2017, a total of 71 concerts belonging to this cycle have been held.
