The mayor gives the awards to 15 winners of the school environment (04/06/2010)

They have also been awarded the best papers presented in the amateur ranks and in the Bio + + Life contest

The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, delivered this morning the prizes to the winners of the poster competition organized by the City on the occasion of World Environment Day, commemorated tomorrow.

The initiative is organized by the Department of Environment, who heads Adela Matinez-Cacho, has focused this year on biodiversity.

Chamber has awarded various prizes to the best papers presented at the poster competition for school, green schools and the first edition of the Bio + + Life, organized by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, through the Red + Local Government Biodiversity 2010.

All papers submitted by participants are part of an exhibition at the Cultural Center of the Barrio del Carmen until next Tuesday.

SCHOOL POSTERS:

The 15 students who have been selected in the top of the competition held by the Department of Education on the occasion of World Environment Day received a bicycle and a diploma.

In addition, the schools whose students have been awarded first prize in each of the 5 categories have been handed over a batch of books and a plaque.

CONTEST ISSUE 1 + BIO + LIFE

Organized by the Local Governments Network of Biodiversity, 2010, the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, has won the first prize in the working group 4 of CEIP Primary Our Lady of Bethlehem for his presentation entitled "Caballito del Mar Minor. "

On this occasion, the award consisted of a diploma for the 13 students who have completed the work and the school and a tour of the White Majal whole class.

GREEN SCHOOLS AWARD WINNERS

The school The Limonar Infant School, La Alberca, and IES Fleet highlighted at this year's Green Schools event convened by the City, which have submitted 21 sites.

This initiative aims to develop habits that help students better understand those concepts related to environmental education, especially in responsible consumption, waste, alternative energy, etc.

The program is aimed at all preschools, primary and secondary school and its development involves the participation of all members of the educational community: teachers, pupils, parents and management team.

Water, energy, waste and noise are the priority issue to work centers, but each school determines, in its interests, the aspect that interests you to work throughout the course.

The two centers of excellence with the "Green School Award" received a diploma and a cash prize of 600 euros, to be spent on the conduct of proceedings involving environmental improvements for the center.
