Commissioning New Condomina stadium for the match Spain-Poland (04/06/2010)

The City has invested approximately € 40,000 in set-up New Condomina stadium for the match between the senior sides in Spain and Poland, on Tuesday 8 June.

As explained by the Councillor for Sports, Miguel Cascales, the aim is that the stadium is in the best possible conditions to give a good image in order to match.

Cascales made this morning a visit to the stadium.

Among the work performed is the replacement and strengthening of the lighting, in-depth treatment of the lawn, plumbing review of public toilets, lobby control, and the renovation of the marking and numbering of the seats.

Spain-Poland match is the last match of the Spanish in preparation for 2010 FIFA World Cup to be played in South Africa.

New Condomina can accommodate 31,250 spectators.

The stadium opened on October 11, 2006 with the Spain-Argentina match.

This is the third time that the Spanish visit Murcia, the second on September 6, 2008 which was played the match Spain-Bosnia.
