Kuwaiti researcher Elham Mohammed Karam has obtained excellent cum laude for his thesis on luxury and ornament in the princely courts of the Arabian Peninsula, which was defended during the ceremony held at the Faculty of Arts and was a guest especially with that country's ambassador in Spain, Adil Hamad.
The author, a doctoral student in the Department of Art History at the University of Murcia, in his thesis deals with the study of aristocratic areas of the nations of that peninsula, and the concept of elegance and luxury consumption systematization as clothing, textiles, jewelry, perfumes, furniture and other members of royal families.
The dissertation was supervised by Professor of Art History Manuel Pérez Sánchez.
