Art Center and the Board Almudí CAM-Hammer hosting the most comprehensive exhibition of Saura Mira (02/06/2010)

The collaboration between the city of Murcia and Caja Mediterráneo has organized the most comprehensive of Fulgencio Saura Mira, under the name 'Retrospective' will be seen in the palace and the Chamber Almudí CAM-Hammer from next Friday until July 15.

It shows some eighty works of the painter Murcia divided into two parts: a retrospective, which is displayed in the Palace, and the other consisting Almudí by recent works to be exhibited for the first time in the room CAM-Hammer.

The sample comprised a large collection of watercolors and oils of different formats that reflected aspects of the daily life of Fulgencio Saura Mira, familiar characters and places and landscapes of the Region of Murcia and some European cities, the artist visited his youth.

In this way, 'Retrospective' is a complete synthesis of the artistic activity of Saura Mira, while showing the new design aesthetic of the artist from his view of the landscape, which betrays a concern shown by developing a new language in their doing.

With this exhibition, which CAM Social Work and the city of Murcia want to pay tribute to the work of Saura Mira.

Paez Martin, curator of the exhibition, the artist defines as "a landscape whose predilection is found in high contrast areas of tension between the dazzling brightness of the sun and the shadows of their compositions."

Fulgencio Saura Mira (Murcia 1938), self-taught, creative, is representative of that school Murcia of paint, feel and experience those unique aspects of its geography.

Son of the eminent painter Pacheco Saura, Saura Mira showed his interest in art since childhood.

His artistic side is focused on painting and literature, which develops along with real life need to convey their love to the city that has seen the birth, to develop an authentic and personal language that identifies with what he loves .

The paintings of the artist alludes to urban scenes and especially the surrounding landscape seeks regional.
